De
ruïne van de grote gieterijhal op het terrein van La Fonderie in
Molenbeek werd de voorbije dagen even omgetoverd in een
onderwaterwereld. Aan de gietijzeren kolommen hingen grote vissen en
kleine visjes, een waterschildpad, een octopus en een zeemeermin zonder
kop: prototypes van sculpturen die in het najaar in de kanaalbuurt
zullen worden opgehangen in de straten, in een bewegend netwerk.

Synapse is an artistic project for the canal area in
Molenbeek & Brussels, co-ordinated by the canal network CanaleTTo.
The prototypes were developed by the PIH / 2IPO [Kortrijk < Belgium] and L'Institut
des Artst et Métiers in Brussels.
